1. Clear Local Data
You can clear local assistant data from inside the app:
- Open SayPilot.
- Go to Management Center - Help and Feedback - Privacy and Local Data.
- Tap Clear Local Data.
Local clearing usually removes assistant settings, conversation summaries, contact profiles, long-term memory, generated reply history, permission confirmations, screenshot caches, feedback export caches, and temporary diagnostic files stored on the device.
Local clearing affects only the current device. It does not delete request logs, feedback records, account records, purchase records, or other data that may already have been sent to SayPilot cloud services, model providers, app stores, payment processors, or support systems.
The in-app local assistant-data action does not reset the pseudonymous install analytics identifier. To reset that identifier, clear SayPilot's app storage/data in Android system settings or uninstall the App. SayPilot's Android backup and device-transfer rules exclude the account-session and analytics preference files, so the identifier is not intended to be restored from those backups.
2. Delete Conversation Memory
SayPilot may store optional conversation memory and profile signals for eligible named direct conversations to improve future reply suggestions. Group chats do not create long-term conversation memory or contact profiles. You can review, edit, or delete saved direct-conversation data from the conversation management screens inside the app.
Deleting a conversation profile removes the local memory used for future suggestions on that device. If the same conversation data was included in a cloud request or feedback report before deletion, that cloud-side record follows the cloud deletion process below.
3. Delete Cloud Account Data
If you sign in with email, Google login, Passkey, or another supported account method, you can delete the current cloud account from:
Management Center - Account - Manage Account - Delete Account.
After account deletion, SayPilot deletes or anonymizes personal information directly associated with that account. It also deletes events in SayPilot's first-party analytics system that are directly linked to the account, pre-sign-in events that share an observed install-identifier hash but are not linked to another account, and the account-scoped analytics source record. It does not delete events already linked to another account. Exceptions may apply where retention is required for law, financial audit, purchase records, tax, security risk control, fraud prevention, dispute handling, or other legitimate compliance purposes.
4. Delete Cloud Logs, Analytics, or Feedback Records
To request deletion of cloud generation request logs, product analytics that we can reasonably locate and verify, feedback records, or diagnostic materials, submit the request form on this page, or use the support or feedback channel published in the app, website, or store listing.
To help us verify and locate the data, the request may need to include:
- Account ID, login email, or another account identifier, if applicable.
- The contact method used when submitting feedback, if applicable.
- Approximate request time, request ID, device information, or issue description, if available.
- The scope of data you want deleted.
We will handle verifiable deletion requests within 15 business days or the period required by applicable law.
5. Data That May Be Retained
Some information may be retained for a necessary period when required for:
- Legal, regulatory, judicial, or law enforcement obligations.
- Purchase, subscription, refund, invoice, tax, or financial audit records.
- Security, fraud prevention, abuse prevention, dispute handling, or service integrity.
- Information that has been anonymized so it no longer identifies a person.
Raw events in SayPilot's first-party analytics system are automatically deleted after the configured analytics retention period, which defaults to 400 days and can be configured by the service operator. This is separate from the 90-day retention period for backend request and model request logs.
During retention, SayPilot limits use of the retained data to the relevant compliance, security, financial, or dispute-handling purpose.
6. Third-Party Services
If a cloud generation request was processed through a model provider or other service provider, relevant data may also be handled according to that provider's retention and deletion rules. SayPilot will use available tools and contractual processes to handle deletion requests where applicable.
SayPilot cannot delete messages stored inside third-party chat apps such as WeChat, WhatsApp, Messenger, Telegram, LINE, Instagram, Slack, or other apps. Those messages are controlled by the corresponding chat app and its operator.
